Walsall Adult and Community College

What

We have been the retained sustainability consultant for Walsall Adult and Community College (WACC) since it was formed in 2009 and worked with the college principal to embed sustainability throughout the core strategy.

We have since delivered training for the senior team, spoken at whole-college training days and even feature on a film on WACC’s website.

Results

Operating costs for the college were slashed by £400,000 and staff satisfaction with change programmes improved by 15%.

The college has won numerous awards for its sustainability work – including the West Midlands START award from Business in the Community for engaging staff in sustainability.

Sustainability features in all staff’s development plans and is a requirement for all recruitment.
