Skills and experience

We have worked with a large range of colleges as well as with the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC) and the Learning and Skills Council (LSIS).

We have worked with the EAUC for 10 years, so have lots of experience working with the sector.

We have worked in partnership with the EAUC, as well as carrying out consultancy with its teams in Cheltenham and in Scotland.

You can find some more detailed examples of our work in the case studies section.

The work we have carried out with and for EAUC has included:

  • running the sustainable procurement environmental action fund project
  • working on the behaviour change management programme pilot
  • delivering leadership for sustainability programmes
  • developing guidance for DIFD on poverty-aware procurement for universities
  • designing and delivering the Green Academy
  • partnership with the EAUC delivering Universities that Count (UtC)
  • developing case studies for the Sorted website

Jimmy is the retained advisor on sustainability for LSIS. He routinely works with colleges throughout the country on a range of sustainability projects. This has included staff development programmes, leadership sessions and metric development.

We have also worked in Australia with ACTS – Australian Campuses Towards Sustainability. This work has included running leadership training in Australian and working with them to implement sustainability across their member body.

We have also:

  • Supported Walsall Adult and Community College since its formation in 2009 to embed sustainability throughout all of its activities
  • Worked with Lancaster and Morecambe college training senior teams and developed their sustainability policy and strategy and implementation plan. That year they won a Green Gown Award for their work on sustainability
  • As part of our work with LSIS we have delivered a range of specific sustainability leadership programmes for management teams at a number of colleges
  • Working with the EAUC we have supported colleges on sustainable procurement and implementing sustainability policies and strategies
