Metric development
The NetPositive approach turns measurement on its head.
Of course it’s important to measure what you’ve reduced. But we suggest also identifying your real value and measuring changes in that.
It could be about measuring the student experience, how students use their time at college to be successful in their career, or how they use the sustainability information in their job.
We are currently working with Walsall Adult and Community College on a review of all sustainability metrics relevant to a college and will be identifying NetPositive measurements so they can chart their progress.
As the lead consultant in the development of the LSIS’s Reaching Forward Index, we have developed metrics help colleges measure sustainability progress.
And working in partnership with the EAUC we have led the development of all of the indicators on the new LiFE index, which will be used to measure the sustainability performance of universities and colleges throughout the UK and internationally.
