What
We advised Lancaster and Morecambe College on its sustainability strategy and how to embed changes throughout the college, including staff engagement.
The college wanted to get Fair Trade status, but also to engage staff and students in the sustainability agenda, making it part of the college culture.
Results
The college achieved Fair Trade status in July 2007 and its efforts were recognised when the principal was a keynote speaker at a sustainability seminar at the 2007 Association of Colleges (A.O.C) Conference.
It won a Green Gown for its work on sustainability.
Savings of £35,287 were made by recycling paper.
