Behaviour change and staff engagement
To successfully implement a sustainability strategy you need to get staff from right across the institution to take action. This won’t happen without good-quality engagement.
We build confidence and competence on the sustainability agenda so your people can become champions for sustainability.
Recognising the pressures on college staff, we find ways to help the sustainability agenda complement what they’re already doing, not create new work for them.
We can:
- Support your sustainability lead to deliver your engagement plan – through a mixture of advice, training and coaching
- Engage leadership teams to build their understanding of sustainability, how it
fits into the institutional journey and how it’s relevant to different parts of
the business - Build staff capacity through training and behaviour change programmes, and champion development.
Examples of our work on engagement with colleges include:
- Working with LSIS to build the competence and confidence of leadership teams to implement sustainability. In many cases this included delivering training to staff
throughout the institution - Delivering staff engagement sessions on sustainability at whole-institution days at colleges such as:
- Walsall Adult and Community College
- Lancaster and Morecambe College
- South Tyneside College
We have also developed staff engagement plans to complement sustainability policies and strategies for colleges such as:
- Stockton and Riverside College
- Reid Kerr College, Paisley
- Lancaster and Morecambe College
